Age 86, resident of Elk River formerly of Minneapolis passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2021.
Marlene was fortunate to be able to spend her last years at home, thanks to her son Kevin who was her caretaker and to have all her family around her on Christmas Day. Marlene had a kind heart and was loved by many. She loved spending time at the family cabin with her children and grandchildren. She loved playing cards/dominos with family and friends and if you were lucky, she would yodel for you.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life of 57 years, Marvin; great grandchild, Lilli Reese; parents, Werner and Emily Dahlheimer; sisters, Julia Dahlheimer, Lucille (Art) Gmach, Lillian (Ray) Hughes, Dorothy (Odell) Schultz; brothers, George (Eleanor) Dahlheimer, Harvey (Lucille) Dahlheimer, Howard (Mary Ann) Dahlheimer, and other close family.
Marlene is survived by her children, Craig (Diane), Keith, Kevin, Bob (Darla), Dan (Anita), Joni (Darryl) Lee; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and other close family.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Church of St Andrew, 566 4th St NW, Elk River, with visitation starting at 11:30 AM. Private interment at Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery.
