Linda M. Kolkind

Linda Marie Kolkind  Age 66

Passed away peacefully at HCMC of COVID-19 on May 29, 2020. Linda was born on Dec 10th 1953 in Mineapolis, MN and resided in Minneapolis for 40+ years.

Linda was preceded in death by her nephew Ricky Flander and her brother-in-law Jim Kirscht. She is survived by her parents Richard and Janice Kolkind, Sister Wanda and Brothers Steve and Russell (Stacy), many family members, friends and her beloved Little White Dog and Tessa the Cat.

Linda was recognized as a colorful Community Activist and an Active Advocate of people’s rights. She never shied away from a situation that she believed she could remedy by open and honest communication and always working to seek a positive outcome.

She had a love for her family, friends and always enjoyed the family get togethers. We will truly miss her laugh, her smile, her colorful costumes that she always wore and of course her 6am Happy Birthday wake up calls.

Linda will be cremated and her ashes laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Private family services will be held at this time.

We will have a celebration of her life at a later date to be determined.

We thank you for many prayers, memories and messages of Linda. She was indeed a unique person with character, a quick wit and a love for life! She will be greatly missed.
