Kyle E. Johnson

Age 53. Passed away at his home in Otsego, Minnesota on December 2, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Kyle was born July 8, 1969, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Ronald and Dee (Rodman) Johnson. He attended Sioux City West High School where he graduated in 1987. Following high school, Kyle studied performance music at Iowa State University.

Kyle was a devoted husband, father, son(in-law), brother(in-law) and friend. He was honest and humble while generously sharing his knowledge and love for nature, sports, and music with those who shared his same passion. He particularly loved basketball and golf and was quickly becoming a fan of volleyball. He had a great ear for music and was a talented violinist while graciously and humorously tolerated those of us who enjoyed music but lacked the talent to express.

He was always willing to lend a hand with any variety of projects or any tasks that required heavy lifting for friends and family.

He was extremely proud of his sons and their abilities to find their own path and passions in life and achieve the goals they set their minds to. He was their biggest fan in everything they chose to do. One of the things he valued most was the bond his sons have with each other.

He had many jobs in his life, most recently working at Brenk Brothers as a Quality Technician.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret & Willis Rodman and Gladys & Rollie Johnson; sister-in-law, Melissa (Keele) Johnson.

Kyle is survived by his wife of 26+ years, Lisa; sons, Cole and Lucas; parents, Ronald and Dee Johnson; brother, Craig (Megen) Johnson; Lisa’s parents, Jim and Cari Lechtenberg; Lisa’s siblings, Brenda (Mike) Miller, Joe (Amy) Lechtenberg, Rick (Shannon) Lechtenberg, Gina (Jon) Milbrodt, Tom (Leia) Lechtenberg and Krista (Mat) Ruhnke; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 21304 Church Avenue, Rogers, MN with visitation starting at 9:00AM. (Burial will be a private family service at a later date).
