Nancy Elizabeth (Eastman) Duggan

Nancy E. Duggan, age 72, of Elk River passed to God on October 22nd.

She is preceded in death by mother, Ester (Robert) Eastman; father, William Bartush; brother, Jim Bartush and LeRoy Eastman. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Richard Duggan; sons, Robert (Stephanie) Duggan and Danner (Logan) Duggan; daughter, Hedda (Patrick) Doyle; brother, Chuck Bartush; sisters, Susan Peterson and Sharon Johnson; and grandchildren, Sawyer, Alyra, Ian, Owen.

Nancy was born on April 19, 1947 in Elk River, and later graduated from Elk River HS in 1965. She owned and operated Duggan Farrier Supplies and the Minnesota School of Horseshoeing in Ramsey since 1976. She loved her flat coated retrievers, gardens, and appreciated natural beauty in all forms including the river life, birds, and at the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge. Nancy quilted blankets, baked birthday cakes for the grandkids, attended the YMCA, headed the ’65 Reunion Committee, was active at Central Lutheran Church, and even traveled across the US and Europe.

Her family wishes to give special thanks to the Guardian Angels Home Care Hospice.

A visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00am on Monday, October 28, at Central Lutheran Church, 1103 School St NW – Elk River. A memorial service will follow at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Central Lutheran Church – Elk River.
