Born October 2nd, 1964, of Big Lake, MN passed away suddenly, August 16th, 2019, at CentraCare Hospital Monticello.
He was the world’s greatest husband, and is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Nora Lewandowski, a loving and generous father to his daughter, Chelsey Hancock (Daniel Hancock), as well as a devoted and loving Papa to his grandchildren, Lucas, Abram and Emilia.
He truly lived his dream through all of his great passions of fishing fresh and saltwater, hunting, music, entertaining, cooking, making pickles with his sisters, woodwork, vacations with his family, hunting banquets, his annual traditions of cribbage, opening fishing, Memorial and Labor Day Weekends, and 4th of July picnics at his cherished “Lewy’s Lake Place” on Mille Lacs Lake. There are simply too many gifts and talents to list. He was an amazingly gracious person who dropped everything to help out, or be there when someone was in need; the many qualities which made him tremendously successful over the years during his career, including his “dream job” at Hanks Specialties. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary “Cookie” (Hesse) and Kenneth Lewandowski. He is further survived by his siblings, Tammy (Vidal) Cordoba, Kim (Dave) Olson, Dan Lewandowski, Kristi (Jeff) Rinehart, and many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00AM on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Church of St Andrew, 566-4th Street NW, Elk River. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00PM on Thursday, August 22, and one hour before the service, all at the church.
