Dolly Ann (Kingren) Scott

Myra Ann “Dolly” Scott, age 79, of Elk River passed away October 16th, 2019.

Dolly was born November 6, 1939 to Walter and Alma Kingren and was the 2nd oldest of 8 children and grew up in Morris, MN.  Dolly got her nickname as a child and it became a perfect description of the person she was both inside and out.   Everyone that met Dolly found out quickly she was outgoing, quick witted and a loving soul. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends watching the Vikings, playing bingo and doing casino trips.  Dolly’s infectious spirit will be missed by all.

Dolly is survived by her children Todd (Ute) Oxley, Ronda (Mark) Brade and Penny (Troy) Anderson, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.   She is preceded in death by her son Jon Oxley, parents Walt and Alma Kingren,  brothers Raymond and Kirk Kingren and sister LaVonne Apland.

A memorial service and celebration of life for Dolly will be held upstairs at the Friendly Buffalo in Big Lake on November 9th from 4-7pm.  A short service will be held starting 5:00.
