BRIAN JAMES HABERLE
Passed away suddenly but peacefully from an infection in his stomach on February 6, 2019 at North Memorial Hospital at 1:45PM. Brian was 54 years old.
He was survived by his parents, Jim and Bonnie Haberle; his sister, Linda Chase and brother -in -law Bradley Chase; his nephew , Kevin Nelson (wife Dawn) and niece Kali Bray(husband Herbert); his great nieces and nephews,Mackenzie Mrazek, Brynley Nelson, Hunter Bray, Heaven Bray, Logan Woehnker, Christina Woehnker.
Brian was a very gentle, loving, caring man. He liked to joke around and had some funny one -liners that made you laugh very hard. Brian loved his family very much and especially his nieces and nephews he just adored them.
In his youth he played baseball and hockey and received awards for best player. He played the piano, loved skiing and being outdoors and just being a boy. He loved going on family vacations.
At the age of 18 after graduating from high school he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Thankfully with the right doctors and family support he was able to live a productive life.
He worked at the University of Northwestern in the kitchen. He lived at a group home in Brooklyn Park for many years. He loved living there and he was able to have the independence he wanted to have. The staff at Brian’s home cared and loved him very much. The family would like to thank the staff for all the years of care they had given Brian. The staff was Brian’s second family.
Brian was taken from us too early and suddenly, but knowing he does not have to suffer from his mental illness anymore does bring some comfort. He will forever be with us in our hearts.
